Distillation Apparatus

Distillation Apparatus, consisting of 500ml flask, Grahm condenser 200mm, and stopper.

Description

A lab distillation apparatus is a setup used in a laboratory to perform distillation, a process for separating and purifying components of a mixture. It typically consists of a distillation flask, a condenser, a thermometer, a still head, a cooling water source, and a collection flask.

The distillation flask holds the mixture to be distilled, the condenser cools and condenses the vapor produced during distillation, the thermometer measures the temperature of the mixture, the still head controls the flow of vapor, the cooling water source cools the condenser, and the collection flask collects the purified liquid.

These components work together to allow the separation and purification of components in a mixture through distillation.
