Description
A Buchner funnel made of polypropylene (PP) is a laboratory apparatus used for filtering solid particles from liquids. The funnel is designed with a flat perforated bottom and a fritted disc that acts as a filter paper. The liquid to be filtered is poured into the funnel and the solid particles are trapped on the filter paper while the filtered liquid flows through the perforations into a flask or other container placed below the funnel.
The use of a PP material makes the Buchner funnel durable, lightweight, and resistant to chemicals commonly used in the laboratory. Additionally, polypropylene is chemically resistant and can be used with a wide range of liquids without risk of contamination or corrosion.
