Burette, TPX

Burette, TPX

This Burette has a transparent acrylic body and a leakproof stopcock made fitted with a self-lubricating PTFE plug. Each Burette is individually calibrated to give maximum accuracy. Acrylic body is unaffected by dilute mineral acids & bases except for Hydrofluoric Acid & Ammonium Hydroxide. The pH range of 1-14 is ideal and can be used up to 5% wt/wt of acids or 30% bases.

Material : Polymethyl Methacrylate/TPX

Description

A Burette, TPX (polymethylpentene) is a laboratory apparatus used for precise volume measurement in quantitative chemical analysis. It consists of a cylindrical glass or plastic tube with graduations marked on the side, and a stopcock or valve at the bottom for controlling the flow of liquid. Burettes are commonly used in titration experiments, where they are filled with a solution of known concentration and used to add a measured volume of this solution to a reaction mixture.

TPX (polymethylpentene) is a thermoplastic polymer that is commonly used as a substitute for glass in laboratory equipment due to its clarity, chemical resistance, and durability. TPX burettes offer several advantages over glass burettes, including light weight, ease of handling, and resistance to breakage. They also have good chemical resistance and are compatible with a wide range of solutions, making them suitable for use in a variety of laboratory applications.

In summary, the Burette, TPX is a precision measurement tool that is used in chemical analysis and other laboratory applications. Its TPX construction makes it lightweight, durable, and chemically resistant, making it a convenient and efficient choice for laboratory work.
