Description

RNA (Ribonucleic acid) is a biomolecule that plays a crucial role in the synthesis of proteins in living cells. It is a single-stranded nucleic acid that is composed of a sugar-phosphate backbone and nitrogenous bases (adenine, cytosine, guanine, and uracil).

The RNA molecule is produced by a process called transcription, which involves the conversion of DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) into RNA. There are different types of RNA, including messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and ribosomal RNA (rRNA), each with its own specific function in the process of protein synthesis.

The RNA model is widely used in molecular biology and genetics research to understand the mechanisms by which genetic information is transmitted and expressed in cells.
