Description
Ohm’s meter, also known as an Ohmmeter, is a laboratory instrument used to measure the resistance of a conductor. The instrument typically consists of a sensitive ammeter, a battery or other DC voltage source, and a variable resistance.
When connected to a conductor, the resistance of the conductor causes a current to flow through the meter, which in turn indicates the resistance of the conductor on a scale calibrated in ohms. Ohm’s meters can measure both low and high resistances and are commonly used in electrical and electronic circuit testing and troubleshooting.
